Gold Tanks Again, While The Nikkei Charges Higher

It had become almost routine that when the Sunday night gold trading began it would immediately pop up. But not this evening -- not after Friday's rout.

It's recovered somewhat, but still below $1160.

In Japan, meanwhile, the Nikkei is popping higher.
