Dear Wall Street, Your Worst Nightmare Is Coming To The Senate
We know the three Republicans vying to take Christopher Dodd's Senate seat (Schiff, McMahon, Simmons) and now here's the Democrat: Richard Blumenthal, the CT Attorney General.
During his tenure as AG, Blumenthal has followed the Spitzer-Cuomo-Brown activist model, going after large, publicly-hated corporations whenever possible.
These days that means finance.
The reason these AGs do this is to springboard to higher office, so obviously this was the moment that Blumenthal was planning for.
Among Blumenthal's targets: Countrywide and the hedge fund lobby.
Talk about 180 from the current situation.
